Too Soon? Fox/Global Bleep Tim Russert Gag on Family Guy

Fox/Global TV erred on the side of good taste tonight as they opted to bleep out a random Family Guy jab at recently deceased journalist Tim Russert.

The episode - a rerun, actually - was the one about Brian’s bastard son. In the very last scene, the boy’s trailer trash mom comes to reclaim him, and as they’re leaving the Griffin’s house, Peter remarks to Brian, “you know I just figured it out. she looks like a really hot [audio deleted].”

The Russert joke, which incidentally aired way before his untimely death, must have been deemed to be in poor taste, which is kind of surprising when you consider past moments like this.
